Theodore Roosevelt

Theodore Roosevelt journey started in December 1913. He set sail with a small group of men to South America. They were going to South America to explore and map Brazil’s River of Doubt. He traveled with Brazil’s most famous explorer Candido Rondon. It looked like a trip to get his mind off of his political views but everything went wrong, the explorers faced Indian attacks, disease, starvation, and worst of all, a murder. Theodore suffered from Malaria after cutting his leg. His leg got so bad that he had a deadly temperature of 105 that almost killed him. Luckily he survived.
